Looking for a great way to spend a winter weekend? Visit the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium for our Docent Council's annual Winter Safari. This year's topic is Animal Adaptations. Discover all the ways each animal learns to survive in its environment. Visitors can take home information, participate in crafts, and touch animal bio-facts.
Winter Safari is an annual program developed by the Zoo Docents, to provide visitors with information regarding animals' survival in their environments. The Docents are volunteers who assist the Zoo staff in education, research, conservation, and recreation activities for animals and visitors.
Winter Safari is sponsored by K12, the largest provider of online learning for grades K through 12.
