ZooBoo

Celebrate the spooktacular with ZooBoo, our annual kid-friendly Halloween event. Enjoy safe daytime trick-or-treat throughout the Zoo, collecting treats and supporting local businesses at this daytime family favorite event. Enjoy fun crafts and meet some of your favorite characters. Show off your costumes in our Halloween parade, dance, and costume contest. Be sure to check out our animals enjoying Halloween treats throughout the park.

Make sure to stop by our Family Friendly Haunted House for a light fright, presented by the Docent Council of the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium.

ZooBoo is a walk-thru event that takes place during regular daytime operation. No additional ticket is required; trick-or-treating is included with your visit from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Guests of all ages are welcome to dress in their favorite costume, though Zoo staff may ask guests to modify costumes for safety. Costumes should enable safe movement through the Zoo, and teens and adults should not wear masks that fully cover their faces.

Activities

All activities take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Candy distribution ends at 3 p.m. Allergen-free options available at select locations while supplies last.

Candy distribution at Community Partner Treat Spots throughout the park, including the AHN Pediatrics Trick-or-Treat Trail at Witch’s Edge (Water’s Edge)
The Pumpkin Patch on Haunted Hill (Education Complex Garden Tent), including small games for our youngest visitors
Haunted Mansion on Haunted Hill (Education Complex Lecture Hall), walk-thru not-too-scary Haunted House
Halloween Parade at the AAH!quarium (Outdoor Lower Aquarium Patio), begins at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Costume Contest at the Boo Bop Pavilion (Water’s Edge Pavilion), at the conclusion of our parade at 11:45 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Monster Mash Dance Party and Character Meet & Greets at the Boo Bop Pavilion (Water’s Edge Pavilion)
