Who is the most extreme? Discover amazing animal adaptions that help some of the most fascinating creatures on Earth survive. Along the way you will meet a wide variety of animals from all corners of the Zoo. On Friday, your vote will help choose the ultimate extreme survivor of the animal world.

Campers will be introduced to some of the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium's most fascinating residents. The week will be packed with animal encounters, guided tours behind-the-scenes, exciting classroom lessons, and other fun activities. Program themes are designed to be fun and engaging for each age group. Snacks are generously provided by Giant Eagle. Full day campers are responsible for bringing their own lunches Monday-Thursday. On Friday, a pizza lunch is provided by the Zoo.

All classes are conducted by experienced teachers and college students, each of whom are current with the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History (Childline), and FBI Criminal Background Check. The Zoo cannot be responsible for, or dispense, any medications to campers.

Campers may only attend one week of Extreme Animals Zoo Camp (dates listed below) in addition to Zoo Crew specialty camp July 1-3.

Please note: We understand that children outside of this age group may want to attend, but we ask that only those of the appropriate age group join us. Our classes and programs are designed specifically for the age group listed.
