Membership Packages
Contributing Membership: $279
Contributing Membership includes up to 2 adults and all children under 18 years of age in a household, plus 20 guest admission passes.
Family Plus Membership: $209
Family Plus Membership includes up to 2 adults and all children under 18 years of age in a household, plus 10 guest admission passes.
Family Membership: $159
Family Membership includes up to 2 adults and all children under 18 years of age in a household.
Grandparents Membership: $159
Grandparents Membership includes up to 2 adults in a household and all grandchildren under 18 years of age.
Dual Membership: $109
Dual Membership includes 2 adults in a household under the age of 60.
Senior Couple Membership: $99
Senior Couple Membership includes 2 adults 60 years of age and older in a household.
Individual Membership: $89
Individual Membership includes one individual under the age of 60.
Single Senior / Student Membership: $79
Includes one individual 60 years of age and older, or one student with a student ID.

Membership FAQ
Cards & Passes
Digital cards are sent within a few hours of activating a Membership. Please allow two weeks for delivery if you are receiving a physical card. If you have not received your card after two weeks from purchasing your Membership, please contact our Membership office at 412-365-2534.
If you’ve purchased a Family Plus or Contributing Membership, your guest passes are digitally tracked within our system. We keep these records electronically in our efforts to be more eco-friendly and for ease of use for our Members.
The Family Membership level does not include guest passes; you may upgrade your Family Membership to the Family Plus Membership for $50 and receive 10 guest admission passes. This is an excellent discount over general daytime admission at gates. Please note that guest admission passes are only valid at the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium and are valid for the length of your Membership.
No, Memberships cover households. If only one adult resides in a household, only one is covered.
The Zoo’s mission is focused on conservation. A digital Membership card can save thousands of pounds of paper a year, plus the emissions created by mailing printed cards. We appreciate guests helping us save valuable resources and help the environment.
Members who prefer to keep a physical card, we are able to mail physical Membership cards for $5.
Members who do not wish to use a digital card but also do not want a physical card are welcome to present a photo ID at the admissions gates upon entry.
Locate your Membership welcome email on your smartphone. If you do not see the email, please check your spam and promotions folders.
- On your iPhone: Access your Membership email and click the “Download” button, then click “Add to Wallet” and “Add.” The card will automatically be saved in your iPhone’s Apple Wallet and can be accessed at any time.
- On your Android phone: Download Wallet Passes from Google Play. Once you have the app, access your Membership email and click the “Download” button. The card will automatically be saved in your Wallet Passes app and can be accessed at any time.
For Memberships with two adults, to share your card, navigate to the back of the card and use the share icon (box with arrow in top right corner – iPhone users) or “Share Pass” link (Android users) to send the card to the other individual named on your membership. Please note that all members must have a photo ID upon entry.
Members receive discounts on most Zoo programs, though some are not eligible for discount. Individual programs clearly indicate Member discount availability before purchase.
Please note that only Membership levels that include children are valid for discounts on child-focused programming; for example, an Individual Membership cannot be used to receive a discount on Zoo Camp. To receive discounts on educational programming dedicated to youth ages 18 and under, guests must have either a Family, Family Plus, Grandparent, or Contributing Membership.
10% discount in Zoo stores applies to most items, though certain items are excluded. Items already on sale, food, and wagon and stroller rentals are not eligible for discount. Please check in store to verify any additional item exclusions.

Entering the Zoo
Until your physical or digital card arrives, you can show your photo ID at the admissions window. If you lost your physical card, you can apply for a duplicate card at the gate or by phone.
Yes, Memberships can be purchased at the front entrance and will include your admission for that day.
No, Memberships cover households. Group rates are available for 15 or more people depending on your group type. Schools, daycares, scouts, and educational institutions can receive a special school discount on request; other group types can automatically receive a discount with our online ticketing system. Memberships cover household residents, so children on your Membership receive free admission when your Membership card is provided. Your childcare provider must have your Membership card when they arrive with your children. Childcare providers can use a guest admission on your Family Plus or Contributing Membership level or pay regular daytime admission to cover their entry.
All Memberships are non-transferable. Only the names listed on the card are admitted and photo ID is required. If you purchased a Membership with guest passes, you may use an available pass for an adult not on the Membership.
Renewing Your Membership
Memberships are valid for one year from the date of purchase. Gift certificates are valid for one year from the date of redemption.
Memberships automatically renew from the current expiration date. If your Membership has lapsed, the new expiration date will be one year from the new purchase date.
