The Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium embarks on an interactive experience: the Virtual Reality (VR) Theater.
Let fully immersive technology transport you from the Zoo to locations around the world. This 360 degree VR film, combined with motion platform seating, shares a once-in-a-lifetime experience of animals in their natural habitat. Partnering with educational entertainment provider Immotion, VR Theater allows you to witness the behaviors of incredible animals up close.
Enjoy one of four shows in two locations around the Zoo:
- Gorilla Trek (World of Discovery)
- The Great Migration (Worlds of Discovery)
- Flight of the Mantas (Aquarium)
- Shark Dive (Aquarium)
Tickets are available on grounds or online. VR tickets purchased in advance online do not include Zoo admission; general daytime admission tickets or active Membership required for Zoo entry.
Schedule varies. Please contact the Zoo for days that VR will be running.
Daytime operation: 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
