What is RAD Pass? Who can participate?
RAD Pass provides Allegheny County library card holders with access to reservations where they can receive free or discounted passes to cultural attractions in our region. The Zoo is a participating organization. Guests must make a reservation on radpass.org by clicking “Reserve a Pass” to gain entry to the Zoo.
- The program runs now through September 1, 2025. A pass is valid for general admission during daytime operating hours only.
- Reservations for RAD Pass are not valid for Zoo special events or classes, unless the activity is during daytime operating hours and is listed as Included with Admission (such as Sensory Friendly Mornings).
- Reservations will not be available on June 20, 2025 due to Summer Safari.
- The Zoo will offer reservations for up to 100 passes per day, which will admit a limit of 2 guests per pass. Additional visitors will need to purchase admission.
- The individual reserving the pass must be 18 years of age or older. The reservation holder may bring a guest of any age.
What is the RAD Pass release schedule? What if they’re all booked?
- RAD will release new daily pass reservations on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. through the length of the program, running now-September 1, 2025.
- Please note that the message on radpass.org of “New passes available monthly” is auto-generated by RAD Pass’ third-party system and is unable to be changed at this time.
- Passes for the Zoo remain available; new passes will be posted on Mondays until all passes for all dates are booked. Please continue to check radpass.org to reserve your Zoo pass.
